HOWLS are a crucial part of our music setting, where much of the learning is

listen-observe-demonstrate. There is also a lot of self-directed time when students will be asked to warm-up independently and practice new skills independently.

 RESPONSIBILITY : which encourages students to keep focused and working on expectations.

RESPECT: which is the expectation that we treat the equipment kindly and communicate with our peers and teacher appropriately. 

PERSEVERANCE: trying when our tasks become difficult and frustrating.

PERFORMANCE STANDARD:

Students will be working very hard on completing this performance standard. Each student has to satisfactorily perform different exercises. These vary depending on the elective they have chosen. 

FUNDAMENTALS STANDARD:

Students will be scored on how well they know some of the fundamentals music we've studied in class. These include, but are not limited to clef identification, recognizing symbols by name, deciphering sheet music and proper keyboard methods.
